A look back….and a peek ahead…
The tail end of 2025 is upon us and it’s times like these that often make one look back at what the year has been. Here in the Water Tower it’s much the same. 2025 has been a full and busy year as usual…full of fun and creative projects - some growing, some wrapping up, new ones starting…always an adventure no matter what!

We saw some neat new additions to enhance the presentation at events - new business cards, some new display stands and price markers thanks to Sinister Rabbit and a very cool light for in the office! We got series 2 and 3 of the trading card series printed! Mega Collection volume 3 was created featuring an incredible wraparound cover by Justin Shauf! This collection collects up to issue 9 and also includes the fantastic Annual issue which is a must have in any collection!
While we may be on a hiatus from our Stew comic strips, we did release the Stories from the Stew collection of all the bi-weekly comic strips from the just over 5 year run.
Fellow indie creator Eric Bennett put together an amazing team up book between his Steel Wolf character and Auroraman! The story is awesome and the art incredible, definitely a fun book to add to any comic fan’s collection! While the Kickstarter for it came up short it is available on his Indy Planet store and will see release in the Great White North as well in the new year (keep your eyes on THIS SPACE for news)! Another awesome team up adventure is cooking thanks to the talents of Colin Work…keep an eye out for Prairie’s Finest - a team up book in the vein of Batman/Superman Worlds Finest, featuring Blackthorne and Auroraman!
Issue 14 came together incredibly well and saw a fall release with three great adventures filled with all the awesome Auroraman action and art. All the while gears kept moving towards 2026s 10th anniversary plans!

We appeared at Boldt Con, Ganbatte Con, Free Comic Book Day at Amazing Stories, Sask Assemble 3, Lil Goslings Daycare trade show and Twin Treats Christmas market throughout the year and met tons of fans, new and old. We also did an author presentation at Englefeld School as their first mystery guest reader of the school year.
Another fun adventure this year was walking the floor of Calgary comic con in full Auroraman costume and handing out comics and having photos taken. This was a trip we didn’t announce which made it extra fun to surprise many of our friends whom we haven’t seen for awhile or, in a few cases, to meet in person for the first time ever! Over 50 issues of Auroraman were handed out to people who hadn’t heard of him before and were about to take in their first trip into his world!

All in all 2025 has been a busy and fun filled year. A lot of work is happening for the 10th anniversary - the story took a year to write and is a MASSIVE masterpiece that will happen over 3 issues starting in issue 15. The incredible list of talented artists pitching in on this is nothing short of phenomenal and I am loving it, especially as the different sections of the cross Canada tour come together! Here is a small peek of a recently finished section by the fantastically talented Justin Shauf!

Well we hope you’ve enjoyed 2025 and can’t wait for you to join us next year as we celebrate 10 YEARS of THE SUPER POWER OF THE PARAIRIES - AURORAMAN!
