Some actual writing happens!
So this year hasn’t seen a ton of writing happening…which was frustrating and disappointing, but I was in such a weird headspace and funk that I just couldn’t pull the words out of my head. Finally I got some stuff straightened out up there and one day the brain sludge shifted and ideas started to flow a bit more freely which felt great!
It was flowing so good I ended up two fisting it with the idea notebook to help me map out where this particular story needed to go beats wise so I didn’t miss any of the important parts, and then the actual story notebook! Great progress was made and it felt great to get that process back on the rails. It’s not to say I wasn’t able to be creative during the slump, I still was lettering and formatting, and I still would jot down ideas, but no actual story telling was happening. It happens and I try not to beat myself up over it but I am certainly glad that it’s lessening and more writing is flowing!
